Did you know grapefruit is a rich source of vitamin C, fiber, and the antioxidant lycopene? Studies have also shown grapefruit helps to lower cholesterol. When I lived in my parent’s home, my mom ate grapefruit daily for breakfast. Since being on my own, I never bought grapefruit at the store until my niece and nephew started selling fruit for a school band fundraiser. Grapefruit was one of the fruits that came in my box, and I realized how much I like it! Now, I order it every year and even pick it up at the grocery store, especially when I see grapefruit offers in rebate apps and SavingStar.
