My Weekly Shopping – Week 21! (I’m Back!)

I have been slacking on you guys!! The past two weeks, I didn’t share my shopping with you. We have been busy – family here for my youngest son’s 2nd birthday and then out of town last weekend for a graduation and wedding with family. I will share that I was over my budget two weeks ago, but last week I only spent about $15! yay!

So, now we are on week #21 of My Weekly Shopping! As a reminder, my goal is to spend no more than $50 per week on groceries, cleaning supplies, baby products, and dog food/treats. So, let’s see how I did.

*This was mainly for my freezer meal, but I picked up a couple extra things – animal crackers (YUM!), saltines and eggs. I was very pleased with the price on the shredded cheese – that was for an 4 cup bag so like paying $1.85 for the 2 cups – lower than the sale price on Kraft usually. Plus, I thought the animal crackers were delicious – a nice snack for my boys.

WEEKLY TOTAL: Spent $66.72, Saved $72.74

My thoughts on the week: I’m not excited about being over budget, but I picked up everything I need for my freezer meal plus some extra deals. These are the weeks when it’s a little tough to stay on budget. I really wanted to get to Target for a few things, but know that my budget is more important than “getting the deal”. How do you keep yourself “on track” so you don’t overspend?

How did you do this week? We’d love for you to share your shopping experiences with us, too!
