Kroger Shopping 101

Kroger Shopping 101 is all about how to save the most money while shopping at Kroger. The first thing you should do is familiarize yourself with the Kroger coupon policy.

Here are the highlights from the policy:

• Coupons will be limited to no more than five (5) paper manufacturer coupons for the like products, each coupon value considered one (1) coupon in the same transaction.
• Limit one (1) manufacturer coupon (paper or digital) per item purchased.
• “Free item” Internet coupons can be accepted if all purchase criteria is met.

The first thing you will want to do if you plan on shopping at Kroger is to stop in your local store and open a Kroger Plus Card. Once you open your account, you can sign up for the digital coupons account.

• Limit 1 use per digital coupon, per transaction.
• Digital offers cannot be combined with paper manufacturer’s coupons on the purchase of a single item.
• Digital offers do not double.

Currently, Kroger offers a FREE Friday Download each week. The coupon is available for download ONLY on Fridays, but it is valid for two weeks.

Use your Plus Card on each shopping trip to get the advertised sale prices and earn points to be used toward fuel purchases. You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend (2x points on gift cards). For every 100 points you earn, you will get $0.10 off per gallon of gas at Kroger Fuel Centers or Shell Gas Stations (maximum of $1 off per gallon)! Points accumulated in one month are valid for redemption through the end of the following month (ie: earn 100 points in February and they are valid until March 31). Points cannot be combined from multiple months.

Earn 50 bonus points after each shopping trip (limit one 50 point bonus per 7 days). Just check the bottom of your receipt for details and answer a short survey here.
