As I have mentioned before, my boys are 3 and 5 years old. I vividly remember the day my sitter told me that she thought my then 2-year old was ready to move to underwear. I was about 32 weeks pregnant with my youngest. Needless to say, I was not ready. We decided to let her keep what she had been doing which was to put him on the potty during every diaper change. Fast forward six months and he moved to underwear without a problem!

My youngest turned three in May, and I planned on potty training him this summer. However, you may remember that I was a surrogate and carried twins that were born in August. So, yes, I came to the realization that I just couldn’t do it this summer. He started pre-school in September and one of the requirements is that the children are potty trained (our school doesn’t have the facilities to do diaper changes). We were on the fast track to potty training. He has done great at being pee trained, but we have really struggled going #2 on the potty.
