Stitch Fix Review: Fix #3 (March 2016)

Stitch Fix Review #3Stitch Fix Review: Fix #3 (March 2016)

I’m fairly new to Stitch Fix – this is my 3rd Fix, but I am addicted! Not sure what Stitch Fix is? It’s like having a personal shopper for clothes! This is perfect for me since I rarely find the time to actually go to the store and shop for myself. Plus, I love that I have been sent (and purchased) items that I wouldn’t normally pick up for myself.

Once you create your account, you will complete your Style Profile. This tells your stylist what types of clothes you like and don’t like. Once your profile is complete, you can schedule your fix! There is a $20 fee for Stitch Fix to send your fix. This can be used towards anything you decide to purchase. You will receive 5 items – clothes, jewelry, scarves and/or shoes. And, if you decide to keep all 5 items, you will save 25% on your purchase. Once you receive your Fix, try it all on within 3 days and send back anything you don’t want. It’s that simple.

Now, I am normally a clearance rack shopper so I will tell you that Stitch Fix prices are higher than I would normally pay. Here’s the great thing, once you sign up, you can get referrals and that means shopping credit! I am not being paid for this post so if you are interested in Stitch Fix and want to sign up, I would love for you to use my referral link and then share your link with your friends.

The other reason I like Stitch Fix is the excitement of seeing that little box on your porch each month (or however often you decide to get a fix). This is my monthly splurge, and it keeps my closet up to date.

When I first opened my box this week, my first reaction was, “Wow. That is so pretty!”. The colors of these tops were right up my alley so I was excited to try them on. Here is what I received in my March 2016 Stitch Fix Box!

The first thing I put on was the Loveappella McGraw Two-Tone Stripe Knit Top. My Pinterest board is all about stripes right now so I was excited that Courtney picked this one out for me. It’s navy and white, and I like how the colors switch places at the bottom (changes to white on navy stripes).   Loveappella McGraw Two-Tone Stripe Knit Top

The back is cute, too! Loveappella McGraw Two-Tone Stripe Knit Top back

I think it’s just a tad too big – see how it’s hanging in picture? What do you think? I really like this shirt otherwise.

The next top I tried on was the Pixley Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt. When I saw this was coming, I wasn’t excited at all. I’ve seen this around Pinterest and the Facebook groups and didn’t really care of it. It is super soft and comfortable, and I love the colors (purple!), but I know I won’t reach for this one so it’s going back. Pixley Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt

I also got the 41Hawthorn Beckett V-Neck Blouse. I loved the color, but it was definitely too big – see my cami showing through under my arm? This one is definitely going back. 41Hawthorn Beckett V-Neck Blouse

The last thing I tried on was the Absolutely Omarion Open Drape Cardigan. I loved the colors when I first saw this but wasn’t sure I would like that it’s shorter in the back than it is in the front. Once I put it on, I really liked it! I could see myself grabbing this to throw over a tank this summer when going in restaurants or cold buildings. Unfortunately, there is a snag in the back so if I decide to keep this, I need to see if I can get an exchange. Absolutely Omarion Open Drape Cardigan

My 5th item was the Kut from the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jean. I received a pair of Kut from the Kloth jeans last month, but had asked to try the boyfriend jean. Unfortunately, these don’t work. They are too big in the waist, and I’m just not sure this look is for me. They are super comfortable though, so I can see why people like them. I just need to love them if I’m going to spend $88 on a pair of jeans. I’m wearing them in all of the above pictures.

What do you think? What should I keep? Send back?
