Stitch Fix Review: Fix #5 (May 2016)

This month’s Stitch Fix box marks my 5th Fix! My note said that I was ready for some color and I loved jewel tones. I also requested a denim jacket in the $50-$60 range. Once again, when I peeked, I wasn’t super excited about the choices, but I always give them a chance because you never know. And, this box was proof of that! I ended up keeping 2 of the 5 items again this month and was pretty happy with that.

First up is the Collective Concepts Demetri Button Down Blouse. I would have never picked this out in a store, but I loved it so much that I’ve already worn it! It looks great with jeans, and a cardigan, too. That makes it really nice to know that I can wear this in multiple seasons.

I also got the Just Black Adorra Skinny Jeans in Mint which everyone has been pining over! I was super excited that these fit, but I was a little concerned about how they fit in thighs. Good news is that it wasn’t enough to stop me from keeping them and I’ve been working real hard in the gym so hopefully that is taken care of soon. They are definitely out of my comfort zone as all of my bottoms are dark, but I am excited to wear these. And, they go well with my Absolutely Omarion Open Drape Cardigan from my 3rd Fix.

Next up is the Papermoon Adelmo Sparkle Detail Knit Top. I love the length and fit on this top and like stripes, but there was just something about this top that I wasn’t excited about. I’m not sure it’s the longer length on the sleeves or the way the bottom is cut – higher on the sides. Either way, this one went back.

The Skies are Blue Bampton Crossover Mixed Material Knit Top is up next. I actually really like how this one looks in the picture, but I did not like it when I tried it on. The top material is super soft but thick and the bottom is very lightweight/sheer. It fit great, but I just didn’t think I would reach for this one.

And, finally, I got the Coffeeshop Paya Detailed Cargo Jacket. This was another one that I wasn’t sure about. When I first put it on, I was pleasantly surprised but as you can see from this fun picture below, it was just too big around. This one had to go back.
