Years ago, I listened to a sermon at church and took away this message – “If you can help someone, do it!” That really stuck with me. Whether it’s offering your time or your wallet, helping others always feels good. Since I was young, I have seen role models volunteering. Once I graduated from college and began my career, there were so many opportunities to help. I’ve enjoyed volunteering as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters, as a Team Lead in our church nursery, and in our community. I also had the amazing opportunity to be a gestational carrier for my very best friend from college two years ago. In a world where there is so much negativity, taking just one step to be the good is amazing!
