Jamberry Nail Wraps Review
Have you heard of Jamberry Nail Wraps? Jamberry Nails launched in 2010 and is an at-home nail application with a variety of designs. Let me start of by telling you that when I worked in the corporate world, I had everything from bare nails to an at-home manicure to acrylic nails to Shellac. Since staying home with my boys, I honestly can’t tell you the last time I had a manicure. And, let’s be honest, the paint usually was chipped by the evening after I paid for a manicure anyway. I am too frugal for that! Once in a great while, I get the urge to paint my nails at home, but they never look as nice as they do at a salon…probably because I am too impatient to let them completely dry. I really loved the look of Shellac and the convenience that I could walk right out after they were done – no waiting for them to dry – but that get expensive and it’s just not in our budget.
So, when I had the opportunity to try the Jamberry Nail Wraps, I was really excited. I had never tried them before, but I’ve heard a lot about them lately from friends on Facebook. When I got my wraps, I quickly read the instructions and got started. There is definitely a small learning curve, but once I got started, it was really easy.
Here’s the application process:
- Clean your nails with an alcohol wipe and push back cuticles.
- Find the wrap that fits your nail the best. (There are 16 wraps on each sheet.)
- Remove the wrap and use a blow dryer to heat for 3-5 seconds.
- Press the wrap onto your nail and apply pressure to adhere.
- Trim the top of the wrap with scissors or fingernail clippers and file off any excess (in a downward motion).
- Apply heat and pressure until the wrap is bonded.
On the first nail that I did, I tried trimming the wrap close to my nail…mistake. It was so much easier to leave a little extra and file it off. In most situations, I was even able to get two nails out of one wrap so I have plenty of extra wraps left to do another application! But, want to know my favorite thing about the Jamberry Nail Wraps? Once applied, you can just go about your business. I took a shower pretty quickly afterwards and was a little nervous about them lifting, but they didn’t!
Disclaimer: I was provided one sheet of Jamberry Nail Wraps mentioned above for this review. All opinions are 100% my own.

August 14, 2014 at 9:04 amI just had my first application on super curvy nails. Try getting them pretty hot and placing them. Then heat them on the nail that way they kinda shrink wrap to the nail bed. Works great and no wrinkles!
