Ravensburger Games and Puzzles Review! (My boys LOVE BuggaLoop!)
Do your kiddos like games and puzzles? I love that my boys are getting to the age when they really enjoy playing games so I was excited when we got a few Ravensburger Games and Puzzles to review – Buggaloop, Ravensburger Hundreds of Horses Horse Story Card Game, and Ravensburger My Favorite Horse Puzzle + App Games Puzzle (100 Piece).
Buggaloop – The follow-up game to the hugely successful Bugs in the Kitchen, Buggaloop features an entertaining HEXBUG® nano V2® from Innovation First, which hides in the hidden places of the 3D game board, popping out unexpectedly to interrupt regular game play. Ages 6+
Hundreds of Horses – Players must use their imagination to match 100 horse tiles with eloquent stories, phrases, and awards. Ages 6+
My Favorite Horse – Kids can play a memory game, enter the tack room to dress their horse and upload a photo of their face onto the character in the puzzle. Ages 6+
Buggaloop was by far the favorite for my boys, especially since my 3-year old could play, too! It’s good to see them taking turns and following directions. This one required a little patience as they can only play when the Hexbug is not on the board (it goes in the tubes and under the board). You can choose between the front and back of the board for a different path to get your bugs from one side to the other. The game takes 10-15 minutes so it’s perfect for those with a short attention span or if you don’t have time for a longer game.
My 5-year old really liked Hundreds of Horses, too. I won’t play this one when my younger son is around again. 🙂 It was way over his head. I like that there is some educational information as well as a fun side when the players get to pick horses they would like or they think demonstrates a particular characteristic.
We put together the My Favorite Horse puzzle and then my oldest son played the games that were included in the app. The puzzle was perfect for my 5-year old – 100 pieces – and he loved playing in the app on my phone.
