Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

Sheperd’s Pie Recipe

If you are looking for an easy comfort food dish, you have to try this Shepherd’s Pie Recipe. I never had this until I was in the working world and a co-worker brought it in for a potluck. Oh my gosh, it’s SO easy…and delicious! And, you can prepare and freeze this as well.

Ingredients:

1 – 1 1/2 lbs ground beef, browned
1 can tomato soup
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 can french style green beans, drained
2 cups prepared mashed potatoes (I used instant!)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients and put in bottom of casserole dish.
  2. Spread mashed potatoes over meat mixture.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes
  4. Add shredded cheese
  5. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Enjoy!

If you want to make one to freeze, you will do so after you add the potatoes. When you are ready to eat, thaw and bake/add cheese as directed.
