Homemade Chicken Pot Pie Recipe
When I was younger, we would eat the individual Banquet Chicken Pot Pies. They were okay, but certainly not something I craved. Then, we had a friend bring us her Homemade Chicken Pot Pie Recipe after my youngest son was born. Oh my goodness, it was delicious so I knew I wanted to share it with you. I’ve also made it for my freezer meal group.
Ingredients:
Refrigerated Pie Crust
3 medium chicken breasts, shredded
1 bag frozen Veg All or mixed vegetables
1 can Cream of Potato Soup
1 can Cream of Celery Soup
1/2 can 2% or skim milk
Salt
Pepper
Thyme
Directions:
- Place refrigerated pie crust in bottom of 9×9 square pan or pie pan
- Mix shredded chicken, vegetables, Cream of Potato Soup, Cream of Celery Soup, milk (use one of the soup cans and fill half way), salt, pepper, and thyme in a separate bowl
- Add ingredients to pie pan
- Cover with pie crust and pinch to close
- Cut slit in top
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown at 375 degrees
